By-Laws From the Constitution of Lyceum Club Brisbane Incorporated 1984
- Any member bringing a guest to the Club Rooms must sign in
the guest, ensuring that the guest's name and address are entered
in the Visitors Book on the Entrance Table.
- No guest may pay for anything within the Club.
- Members may not introduce the same guest, except for a close
family member, more than six times a year.
- Members should not entertain more than six guests at a time
without first obtaining the consent of the President.
- Badges or any insignia of other clubs or organisations may not
be worn in the Club Rooms or at any Club meetings or functions.
- There is to be no promotion of any other club or organisation
or business by notices, raffles or by any other means either in
the Club Rooms or at any Club meetings or functions.
- No notice or placard, written or printed, may be placed on
the Club's notice board unless initialled by the President or
the Honorary Secretary.
- The Club accepts no responsibility for property left in the
Club. Property unclaimed for more than three months may be disposed
of at the discretion of the Committee.
- No Club property shall be removed from the Club Rooms unless
authorised by the President or the Secretary (with the exception
of library books).
- Members using the Club Rooms must ensure that, when they leave,
everything is in a clean and tidy condition and the door is locked
from the outside.
- Smoking is not permitted in the Club Rooms.
- No member shall cause or allow to be inserted in any publication
anything whatever in connection with the activities of or within
the Club without first obtaining the consent of the President.
